According to a story in The Sun, Bolton Wanderers are reportedly eyeing a move for Ipswich Town striker, Joe Garner.
The article from The Sun states:
“BOLTON are preparing a big to land Ipswich forward Joe Garner.
Trotters boss Phil Parkinson is looking to beef up his attack following the January departure of Gary Madine to promoted Cardiff City.
Garner,30, moved to Portman Road last year after a season in Scotland with Rangers.
Bolton top brass are readying a £500,000 bid for the Blackburn-born forward who is keen on a return to the north of England after three years at Preston.”
Best known for his spell at Deepdale, Joe Garner is a striker who i’ve always thought could one day play for Wanderers.
Having scored 121 career goals, Garner is a proven goalscorer and would certainly be an interesting option to pursue.
Garner scored ten goals for Ipswich last season, having joined from Rangers for £1 million.
For £500,000, it’s a reasonable fee for a goalscorer like Garner. If Ipswich would take that, it could be a shrewd signing for Bolton.
