Kylie Jenner did not “dump” her mom Kris Jenner nor was she warned to, despite a report from a year ago that falsely maintained the “pushy momager could destroy” her daughter’s career. Gossip Cop debunked the untrue claim exactly 12 months ago today, and once again time has proven us correct. We were assured Kylie wasn’t going to get rid of her mother as her manager, and she hasn’t to this day.

According to the 2017 article from Life & Style, Kylie was being urged to “dump Kris” in advance of production of the E! program “Life Of Kylie” for fear the older Jenner wouldn’t be able to deliver a “modern and different” series, which is what the makeup mogul wanted. The assertion came on the heels of Kendall Jenner’s Pepsi ad, which was essentially criticized for using the Black Lives Matter movement to sell cola. Using that as supposed evidence, the tabloid contended that for Kylie, “firing Kris may be the smartest move.” The youngest Jenner, stated the magazine, “could easily end up in the same scenario.”

Of course, Kris has actually built the family’s fame and fortune on its scandals, including Kim Kardashian’s infamous tape with Ray J. Notwithstanding, Gossip Cop was assured by the matriarch’s rep 365 days ago that Kylie was absolutely not going to “dump” or fire Kris as her manager and, now a year later, it’s clear she did not. With Kylie giving birth to daughter Stormi in February, it’s unclear what’s going to happen to the E! series. What is clear, however, is that Kris did not get “the boot” and that under the senior Jenner’s guidance, the young reality star’s success has grown exponentially. In fact, a few months after the tabloid’s inaccurate article, it was reported that with the help of mastermind Kris, Kylie’s cosmetics brand is on pace to become a $1 billion brand.

Additionally, just three weeks ago, in an article about how Kylie herself debunked false rumors about Kris managing her boyfriend Travis Scott, Variety plainly noted, “Kris Jenner has a full slate of clients representing her six children” and that she’s “served as business manager for Kylie, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Rob Kardashian since 2007, when the family first entered the public eye with “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.” A full 365 days have passed and Life & Style is still wrong.

Gossip Cop looks back occasionally at past articles to illustrate who’s publishing facts and who’s duping visitors and search engine with fiction. Interestingly, this is a false narrative the tabloid has been peddling for years. For instance, in May 2015, the magazine ran an untrue cover story that wrongly asserted the Kardashian-Jenner family was going to fire Kris.

At the time, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for claiming “Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie got together in a family showdown to fire Kris as their manager.” The report was bogus then and again a year ago when it focused just on Kylie giving “the boot” to Kris. Maybe it’s time for the outlet to issue a correction and “dump” its ill-informed Kylie sources.
